Simfonii Pentru Instrumente de Suflat (Symphonies of Wind Instruments), op. 27

This piece features frequent repeated rhythmic figures that are not tethered to the main pulse. The conductor is essential for coordination. It is all in four, but disjointed, pulse-busting rhythms abound. This piece uses the same instrumentation (and title) as Stravinsky’s Symphonies d’instruments á vent.
