Composed for the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Austrian State Treaty. Dedicated to the victims of National Socialism. Symphonie der Hoffnung is a multimedia piece. While Doss composed the music, he collaborated with several other artists, musicians, and officials in its creation. It is based on an idea by Hans Mayr, with texts by Erich Fried and Mongo Stojka, and a presentation by Michael Mooslechner. There is an extensive website (in German) dedicated to the work.
